What is it with these “Brother Duos” dominating the film industry? Let’s take a look!
Russo Brothers
The Russo Brothers have always had a place in my heart… These are the creators of “Community” and “Arrested Development”! Must I continue?
They are famously known for directing four installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Everyone liked their work on the Captain America movies… But then… The Russo Brothers felt that they needed to prove their talent even more! Hence, “Avengers: Infinity War”. That’s not all! They went even further and released “Avengers: Endgame”. Endgame grossed over $2.798 billion worldwide! There were some laughs… And some cry’s… Yes I’m talking about Iron Man dying. I’m not going to bother saying SPOILER ALERT because if you haven’t seen them yet…
DUFFER BROTHERS
I’m sure you’re all familiar with these two geniuses. I call them geniuses for the simple reason of the creation of the incredibly successful Netflix Original “Stranger Things”.
Before these twins hooked the entire world on a show based on four nerds and a girl with superpowers, The Duffer Brothers had their nerdy times as well. Both born February 15, 1984, of course the same year all the most legendary movies had released! I’m talking about Ghostbusters, The Terminator and even The Karate Kid. Growing up, both were big fans of “The Lord Of The Rings” and “The Hobbit” franchises.
Besides “Stranger Things”, The Duffer Brothers had kept quite, but according to Forbes “Netflix has revealed that Stranger Things season 3 has been watched, to some extent, by 40.7 million households in the four days since its July 4 holiday launch. Netflix says that’s the most anything on the service has ever been watched, movies or TV, in that period of time.” As you can see, it was record breaking for Netflix.
COEN BROTHERS
The Coen Brothers never really caught my eye until I found out they had directed one of the funniest movies of all time. PEOPLE! They gave us “The Big Lebowski”! Hands-down, this movie is up there in the Top 10. Lebowski is every persons “spirit animal”, that’s only if your a cool person… If you haven’t seen it yet, I give you permission to leave my page now! Other than that, their most acclaimed works include “No Country For Old Men” and “Barton Fink”. They have some more, but those are the only ones I’ve seen so far. I’ll get on it!!
THE REASON
So… What’s going on? Never mix family with business? It’s a new era people, the “Brother Duo” are dominating!Something you should know in case you havent already. Having a brother includes a having a certain superpower, not just twins. I’m serious. You get a certain connection with your brother. These brother duos shared with the world something new.
